Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Social Value
About CSR & Social Value
Muslim inclusion is often an overlooked aspect of corporate social responsibility. M-IFS addresses this gap by advocating for workplace inclusivity through engagement with organisations, HR leaders, and policymakers.
M-IFS advocates workplace inclusivity for Muslims by proactively engaging organisations, HR leaders, and policymakers.
We are a voice for positive change—without formal lobbying—using credible data, influential reporting, and direct engagement to drive lasting improvements.

Why M-IFS is a Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative
M-IFS helps organisations:
Meet Equality Act 2010 & Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED)
M-IFS helps organisations align with the Equality Act by addressing religious inclusion — an often overlooked aspect of workplace equality. It also supports public sector suppliers in meeting PSED obligations by evidencing inclusive practices for Muslim employees.
Strengthen Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Social Value Reporting
M-IFS accreditation contributes to the ‘Social’ pillar of ESG by showcasing real, faith-based workplace improvements. It also enhances DEI and social value metrics in tender bids, impact reports, and internal governance statements.
Enhance inclusive hiring & talent attraction
Achieving M-IFS signals that your organisation is actively removing structural and cultural barriers for Muslim professionals. This not only strengthens employee trust and retention but also makes your brand more attractive to diverse, values-aligned candidates.
Create faith-inclusive policies that drive employee well-being
M-IFS supports your ability to be recognised as an inclusive, socially responsible supplier in both public and private procurement. It strengthens your organisation’s case for preferred supplier lists and frameworks that prioritise underrepresented inclusion areas.
How M-IFS Contributes to CSR, DEI & Public Value
M-IFS accreditation supports public and private sector organisations in meeting the following objectives:
• Supplier Diversity Requirements
Public sector buyers increasingly require evidence of diverse and inclusive suppliers. M-IFS provides a credible, structured approach for addressing the often-neglected area of Muslim inclusion.
• Social Value in Procurement
Under the Social Value Model and government frameworks like CCS RM6229, organisations can demonstrate faith inclusion as part of their social value commitments.
• ESG Reporting & DEI Strategy
M-IFS aligns with environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting by addressing the ‘S’ pillar. The accreditation signals measurable progress toward inclusivity and workplace well-being.
• Fair Work & Inclusive Growth
Accreditation supports local and national DEI efforts by providing clarity around the often-misunderstood religious accommodations in employment.
M-IFS doesn’t just recognise what you do — it gives you a structured framework to go further.
All content and initiatives are curated and evaluated in line with the M-IFS certification standard and values. Contributions and resources undergo review by M-IFS leadership to ensure alignment with our commitment to inclusivity and ethical principles.

The vast majority of UK organisations still lack a formal Muslim-inclusive workplace policy, with estimates suggesting over 90% have not yet adopted clear guidelines or provisions tailored to the needs of Muslim employees.
